In 2019, CSA led the design charrette to revitalize this existing dilapidated motel property located just north of Christiansted. The property has 40 rooms in two buildings which are randomly located on the beach front. Through the planning process, it was determined that the 2.6-acre site could be modified to add additional guest rooms and improve the restaurant/common areas to take advantage of the ocean view. There is an additional one-acre vacant parcel that would provide the necessary parking and additional new guest rooms to nearly double the number of existing keys. The plan also addresses the existing pool which would be abandoned to create a new arrival to the resort and the pool’s re-orientation to the ocean for all water activities related to the beach. The purpose is to turn the existing ocean front motel into a boutique hotel under the Hilton brand.
