Principal Architect
José has been a member of the CSAA organization since 1976 and has overseen the implementation of more than $250 million of capital improvement projects throughout South Florida. José is recognized in the industry and region for his superior negotiating and management skills. A proficient communicator, he has managed the firm’s largest contractual arrangements for public agencies from Delray Beach to the Florida Keys including a $27 million Capital Improvement Program for the City of Lighthouse Point, $30 million in public safety assignments for the City of Boca Raton. Further, he has remained the primary Principal for the firm’s work with the City of Pompano Beach and Monroe County. José manages the firm’s day to day operations in collaboration with his longtime partner, Jess Sowards.
Public service has been a part of José’s professional development and he previously served in several organizations and committees, including for the City of Delray Beach and Palm Beach County and his hometown of Boynton Beach. José is the Past Chairman of the Delray Beach Site Plan Review and Appearance Board and is a former City Commissioner and Vice Mayor of the City of Boynton Beach.
Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue Station No. 7 and EOC Facility
This building program includes a 25,000 SF, three-story complex with an emergency operations center, four apparatus bays and living quarters for up to 16 firefighters. In addition to on-duty fire rescue staff, the building hosts the City’s Fire Prevention Bureau including office space for fire inspectors, plans review and public education.
